Give. Teach. Transform.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), over 1 billion people live with some type of disability and about half of these are people under 18 years of age. All over the world, youth with disabilities are marginalized, neglected, overlooked. Too often even basic human rights are denied to them. They lack access to education, employment, and other public services. Children and young people with disabilities overwhelmingly live in poverty and suffer from low expectations, abuse and neglect. Women and girls with disabilities face double discrimination and are discouraged from pursuing education, employment opportunities and starting their own families. These children and youth need our help.

In response to these challenges, World Enabled / Pineda Foundation for Youth was created. Our mission is to promote, protect and ensure the capabilities and potential of young people with disabilities. Our educational initiatives support the implementation of important human rights treaties such as the Universal Declaration for Human Rights, UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). Our work confronts discrimination against children and adolescents with disabilities in Asia, Africa, and South America.

Join us in unlocking a world of potential; join us in making a change.
